Training with Adarsh Puri

Dear Fellow Spirits,

It was 1st November 2010 the day I had taken an appointment from Mr. Adarsh Puri. I was a bit confused as what is going to happen at Adarsh' place. 

As promised I reached at his place around 10'o clock in the morning. It is a big banglow in one of the posh but green area of Delhi. I pushed the switch to ring the door bell. After a minute or two Adarsh came and invited me in.

Adarsh, around 6 feet tall healthy by appearence and around 60-65 years old. you can read more about him on his google site . I just entererd the house and started feeling the difference. The atmosphere inside was so energetic. I felt very relaxed and calm. Adasrh has a leg shorter than other due to some injuries in his childhood but he use no support to move and go on with his routine work. He told me reiki only liberated him from all the pains he had. He than started telling me about reiki. What reiki is, its origin. He had a soft copy of his manual on his laptop. He gave it to me to go through. After reading and a session of question and answers he said he will now attune me.

Sorry, I forgot to tell you about the training philosophy of Adarsh. Adarsh does only two attunements one for the first, second and master healer degree and another for master teacher level. He has his own reasons behind it. I asked him about the levels and other's style of training who have broken the training into four or five degrees. He said nothing about other's style. He asked me "Can anyone tell who attuned Mikao Usui and was he attuned in degrees?" Than who we are to control these things and why we should. He said he teaches in two steps because not everybody is interested in teaching.

I than paid him the exchange we had agreed upon. He than cleared the energy of room and made me sit on a chair. Took some candles, took his dorje bell out. He told me to close my eyes and keep them closed till he instructs me to open. I got afraid whats going to happen next. Still I closed my eyes and folded my hands in folded the prayer position. He than rang the bell and started the attunement. 

During the attunement I felt cold showers coming onto me and saw some lights and nothing special happened. I asked Adrash about it what happened did the attunement fail. He said attunements never fail and the experiences are individual.

After the attunement we had our lunch and later he gave me the reiki symbols. He gave some papers to practice and memorize the symbols. Once I was familiarized with symbols he taught me to draw them with hands and activating them. He told me about their names and uses etc.

Now this was the time to do some self healing. I lay down on the sofa on my back. He than started to tell me the hand positions and I did started to draw the symbols on each body part for three minutes. It took more than an hour to complete all the positions and this was the first time that I started to feel the flow of energy, heat and vibrations in my hands.
After this we practiced distance healing. We sent healings to my wife and asked her for feedback. She told us that she felt vibrations all over her body.
Later in the evening we had a tea and discussed about other reiki techniques.
I left his house with the gift of reiki.
